The Conclusions tab allows users to enter their findings for the Incident. In the General tab under Conclusions, you can specify the incident type, the effects of HIB, and whether the Incident was founded or unfounded for each alleged perpetrator. Click the Statistical Analysis button to see how your incident compares to other Incidents in your state reported with similar motives and classifications.

Once the findings have been entered, the Incident can be Closed and Approved at the bottom of the Conclusions Tab. Superintendents can Approve an Incident. District Coordinators and School Admins can Close an Incident. Pressing the Approve Incident button will also automatically Close it if it is not already closed.

If an Incident has previously been closed, it can be reopened by Superintendents, District Coordinators, and System Admins. The Reopen Incident button will appear at the bottom of the Conclusions tab for those users.

In addition to Incident findings, the Conclusions tab can also be used for tracking Appeals. To add an Appeal, click on the Image Placeholder icon under the Appeals tab. This will open a new pop-up where you can enter information for the appeal hearing.

The final area under the Conclusions tab, Additional Conclusions, is only meant to be completed by certain districts in HIBster. If this area appears blank after the first time you save the Incident, it means there are no additional questions you need to fill out. Follow the on-screen instructions as they appear.
